MU Mini Med School

The University of Missouri - School of Medicine offers an exciting and informative summer experience for high school students interested in a career in medicine.  MU’s High School Mini Medical School is a one-week program that gives students a preview of life as an MU medical student. The program includes:


-          Hands-on experience in anatomy, suturing, and clinical skills

-          Introduction to MU’s innovative patient-based learning (PBL) curriculum

-          Seminars on college and medical school entrance and medical school life


In addition, students will attend special sessions with clinical and research specialists and have meaningful interactions with current medical students, faculty and staff of the School of Medicine.


Mini Med School is intended for students who will begin their senior year in the fall of 2018. 

Cost to of attendance is $600. Scholarships are available.  Interested high school juniors can find more application information at our website Applications will be available by January 12, 2018 and should be submitted electronically. The application deadline is March 1, 2018.

Cooperative Youth Conference & Leadership Experience 

July 18-20 at the Doubletree Hotel in Jefferson City

Sophomores:  Are you a leader in your community and school?  Do you want to learn more about our state’s government?  Do you want to make a difference in your part of the world?  Would like the opportunity to connect with other youth leaders and attend a national award-winning leadership camp?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, then CYCLE is for you.

What is CYCLE?  The Cooperative Youth Conference & Leadership Experience (CYCLE) is a program sponsored by Missouri’s Electric Cooperatives.  CYCLE brings together some of Missouri’s best and brightest young leaders.  The focus is to provide students with an inside look at Missouri State Government, teach leadership skills, and learn more about electric cooperatives.  You will have the opportunity to make new friends, take exclusive tours, and attend keynote presentations and other events.  CYCLE is a truly unique and exciting leadership experience – and it is fun!!

Applications can be picked up in the counseling office.


All entries muse be postmarked or in the drop box at the Linn or Brazito office no later than Monday, March 26, 2018.  

The Seniors get to ring the BELL when they commit to a college, military branch or career!
