Brian Short

I was born in Osage Beach, Missouri, and raised in Lake Ozark, Missouri. I went to school K-12 at School of the Osage and graduated as part of the class of 2013. From there, I went to the University of Central Missouri for 2 years. After deciding UCM was not the university for me, I came back home and went to Columbia College for one semester. During my semester there, I decided to attend Missouri State University where I graduated in December of 2018 with a Bachelor of Science degree in modern language.

As far as this school year at Blair Oaks goes, words cannot describe how thrilled I am to not only teach something that I have loved for over a decade, I am very excited to have your child in my Spanish class.  I aspire to make your child’s year studying a foreign language an exciting and remarkable experience.

Studying foreign languages is a passion of mine.  Not only is it fun, but it is also becoming more prevalent and important today.  Knowing a foreign language does many things for an individual-from job opportunities to developing better communication skills.  Knowing another language other than English opens many opportunities and broadens one’s horizons.
